C. Booth Charcoal Foaming Dry Body Polish & Cleanser Review

9
I love body scrubs and I'm a huge fan of C. Booth products, so when I spotted the new Charcoal Foaming Dry Body Polish & Cleanser at Target last week, I had to pick one up! Besides, it sounded so intriguing...what the heck is a dry body polish? And it foams? Curiosity definitely got the better of me with this one (and spoiler alert...I love it!)

4 New Primers + Before & Afters

4
I recently purchased four brand new face primers (two drugstore and two higher-end) and I thought I would compare them side-by-side all in one post! Two of the formulas are meant to give your skin a subtle glow under your foundation while the other two give a more matte appearance.

Let's take a look!

NEW! St. Ives Oil Scrubs

5
St. Ives just released two new Facial Oil Scrubs ($6.99 at Target) and I'm so curious to try them and see what they're like! This is the first "oil scrub" I've seen, whether high-end or drugstore and I think it's a great idea, especially for someone like me with dry skin.

Elemis Pro Collagen 3-Pc. Kit Now at QVC + Review

8
UK-based skincare brand Elemis has finally landed in the US at QVC.com and I couldn't be more excited!  My first experience with Elemis was on a Caribbean cruise...the spa on the ship used the products during my facial and I remember my skin looked amazing for the rest of the trip. When I got home, I wanted to purchase some of the products but couldn't find them anywhere...then I was kicking myself that I didn't just buy them on the cruise.

Thankfully, QVC now carries a large range of Elemis products and they also have a Pro Collagen 3-piece Skincare Set that contains three of their best selling products for $48.50 (a $157.70 value).

What's included:
  • 1 oz. jar of Pro-Collagen Marine Cream
  • .5 oz. jar of Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm
  • .5 oz. tube of Pro-Collagen Oxygenating Night Cream
QVC and Elemis were kind enough to send me all of the products in the kit to try for myself and I've been using them for the past three weeks. Here are my thoughts!

Lots of New Hair Products Spotted at Target

8
Herbal Essences Dry Shampoo

I was at Target today and noticed that they have completely revamped their haircare aisles, adding a bunch of new brands and products. The first thing that caught my eye was the new Herbal Essences Dry Shampoo. There's a volumizing formula that smells like White Grapefruit & Mosa Mint, and a revitalizing formula scented with Cucumber & Green Tea.

5 Products to Smooth Your Skin's Texture

7
I used to be so concerned with preventing lines and wrinkles but I didn't realize that texture was just as important when it comes to keeping my skin looking youthful. When I was younger, the only real texture issue I dealt with was dry patches and flakes. But once I entered my mid-thirties, I started seeing visible pores on my cheeks and my chin has a bumpy texture that I now refer to as "orange peel" skin. I was so frustrated when my makeup didn't sit smoothly and let's face it, no amount of foundation can cover texture like it does redness or dark circles...it just shows right through.

So I made it my mission to focus on the texture of my skin in addition to using anti-aging products and at 39 years old, I feel like my skin looks even better than it did in my early thirties! Here are the products that work the best for me...some are temporary (like primers) while others work to refine your skin from the inside out.

The NYX Perfect Filter Palettes ($20) are a brand new release for Spring 2017 and I picked up a few of them to review for you guys! There were three that I really wanted to try, but the one I was most interested in, Rustic Antique was only available on the NYX website. lorac california dreaming cheek palette review
As a self-proclaimed blush palette junkie, how could I not pick up the new Lorac California Dreaming Cheek Palette? I tried not to want it but there were so many things that were calling to me...from the pretty boho chic packaging to the warm, sunkissed shades, to the fact that Lorac's blush formula is one of my all-time favorites. Too many things added up and let's face it...I'm weak. :)

The NEW Urban Decay Vice Liquid Lipstick Has Arrived

0
I rarely get excited over liquid lipsticks because I have dry lips and the long-wearing formulas tend to look just awful on me...like, I'm talking a cracked, lined, cakey mess. Right now, the only liquid lipsticks I can wear are the kind that transfer because they're a little more hydrating.

But the new Urban Decay Vice Liquid Lipsticks ($18 each) have me wanting to try again, as they claim that the comfortable, non-drying formula sets it apart from other liquid lipsticks. They are waterproof and intensely pigmented with two finishes...matte and metallized.

Sephora is currently offering 13 matte shades and 7 metallic shades, while Ulta has 12 matte shades and 5 metallic.

I have always loved Urban Decay's lipsticks in the past so I'm hopeful for a long-wearing, transfer-proof, yet comfortable formula. What do you think? Will you be trying these out?

Available now at Sephora.com and Ulta.com

Friday Faves

0
Every Friday going forward, I'd like to start doing a "Friday Faves" post, highlighting the products I've been reaching for a lot over the past week. These products might be ones I've talked about already here on the blog or they might be something I haven't posted a review on yet. I end up trying and reviewing so many different products, I thought it might be fun to share the products I'm personally using this week.
