Summer Beauty Essentials From Walmart

0

Hey guys! Today I wanted to share my favorite Summer beauty essentials, and the best part is they're all available at Walmart (thank you to Walmart for sponsoring this post!).

I'm always checking out Walmart's beauty aisles because they have such a great selection of products and amazing prices. But I bet a lot of you didn't know that Walmart now carries premium brands on their website too!

When the weather starts heating up, my hair becomes so hard to manage...it's damaged and dry and very prone to frizz. So I've depended on It's a 10 Miracle Leave-In Conditioner for many years now. It not only conditions my hair, leaves it smooth and prevents frizz, it also protects my hair from heat tools. Another favorite for my hair is Batiste Dry Shampoo in the Tropical Fragrance. It smells like coconut and freshens up my hair, especially if we've been out all day in the sun and I've been sweating. It adds some life back into it, keeps it from looking limp and makes it smell fresh and clean.

When it comes to makeup, I love to add the L'oreal True Match Lumi Glotion to my moisturizer and it gives my skin a healthy-looking glow without glitter or shimmer. Then to warm up my face, I'm obsessed with Milani's Silky Matte Bronzer in the shade 02...not only is it super blendable and seamless, it is also the perfect shade for my fair skin tone. It's not too warm or orange, just the perfect shade of neutral brown.

Another favorite from Milani is the Keep It Full Nourishing Lip Plumper in the shade Soft Rose. It contains peptides to plump my lips over time and the shade is so perfect and sheer for summer. I find myself reaching for it all the time! At night I also love using the Found Honey Lip Mask...it's thick and rich and leaves my lips feeling so soft and smooth in the morning.

For cheeks I love the Found Baked Illuminating Blush in Pink Glow. It gives just the right amount of glowiness to my cheeks without being over the top and almost gives a highlighted effect. And speaking of blush, I love the shades in the Stila Perfect Me, Perfect Hue face palette! It's the perfect travel palette to pack in a weekend bag because you have 5 eyeshadows in both matte and shimmer finishes and two beautiful blushes. I have it in the Fair/Light shade but they also have one for deeper skintones as well.

To finish off any summer look, I've been loving L'oreal Lash Paradise mascara! I recently rediscovered it and I love how it gives me a false lash look. It also doesn't smudge or flake, even on hot days!

Comparison of Colourpop Salvage, Through My Eyes, Dream St. and Rendezvous

1
I got a lot of requests to compare and swatch the new Colourpop Through My Eyes and Salvaje Palettes to each other as well as to Dream St. and Rendezvous. So here they are below! I think that three of the four are extremely close...Through My Eyes seems to be a mix of Salvaje and Rendezvous. Dream St. is a little bit different but still a similar vibe. What do you guys think?

BH Cosmetics Love In London Palette Swatches

0

Here's a look at the beautiful new Bh Cosmetics Love in London Palette ($16 at Ulta Beauty and BhCosmetics.com) . This palette has a nice mix of warm and cool tones and I have been able to create such a nice variety of looks with it (see one look below!).

For this look, I used the shade Scone in my crease, Tea on my lid, and then Palace just in the center of my lid on top. The colors blend beautifully and are so pigmented!

LASPLASH Golden Gatsby Eyeshadow Palette Swatches

0

I was so intrigued by the new LASPLASH Cosmetics Golden Gatsby Palette ($28 at Ulta Beauty). The shades are stunning and although I have never tried anything from this brand before, the shades were ultra pigmented, even the mattes! They have a rich, velvety feel that was very impressive! This palette also contains four foiled shades that are a little bit flaky so I suggest pressing them on to your lid with a finger rather than using a brush.

Here's a video if you're curious to see live swatches (it's toward the end):

Bh Cosmetics Love Signs Palette vs Original Zodiac Swatch Comparison

0

I had been getting a lot of requests to swatch the new Bh Cosmetics Zodiac Love Signs Palette next to the Original Zodiac Palette, so here we go! Above, I swatched all of the matte shades together with Love Signs on top and Zodiac on the bottom. The original contains more neutral shades, while Love signs has more brights.

Below are all of the shimmer shades together...there are definitely some similarities between the two, don't you think?

Both palettes have a highly pigmented formula with the matte shades having a velvety soft feel and the baked shimmers in the original Zodiac feeling a little more buttery and soft than the ones in the Love Signs palette. I personally prefer the original in both shades and formula!

Both palettes are available now for $27 each at Ulta Beauty and also at Bh Cosmetics.

The Bh Cosmetics Zodiac Capricorn Palette ($14) is a beautiful collection of earthly shades in both warm and cool tones. There are 5 mattes and 4 shimmers, including the center baked highlight shade.

The formula feels soft and nicely pigmented. They also blend well on the eyes!

Milani Silky Matte Bronzing Powder Swatches & Comparison

0

The new Milani Silky Matte Bronzing Powder ($9.99) is one of my new favorite formulas as it is super soft, silky (like the name!) and blendable on the skin. When swatching shades #01 and #02, I noticed that shade #01 is very similar to The Balm's Oliver bronzer while shade #02 is extremely close to the Marc Jacobs O!Mega Bronzer.
The Milani formula also has a slight coconut scent similar to the Marc Jacobs version. I love that both shades are very neutral and don't lean too orange (warm) or too gray (cool). They're the perfect brown!

Rimmel Magnif'Eyes Wow Edition Eyeshadow Swatches

The new Rimmel Magnif'Eyes Wow Edition Eyeshadow Palette is colorful without being super bright. The formula feels soft and the shades are nicely pigmented. The only downside is that it's mostly shimmer shades.
