Happy almost weekend everybody! I'm back with another Friday Faves, where I highlight the products I've been reaching for the most this past week. I have a lot of brand new products to talk about this week (and an old favorite), so... let's just jump right in!
First...the old favorite! I'm a huge fan of Wet n Wild's ColorIcon blushes in general, but Rose Champagne is my absolute favorite shade. It's this beautiful peachy nude that has the slightest hint of shimmer and it makes my fair skin look all glowy and healthy. I recently saw Kathleen Lights talking about this blush on YouTube and it reminded me to pull it out and start wearing it again.

2. Urban Decay Optical Illusion Complexion Primer ($34 at Ulta and Sephora)- I am loving this new primer! It's a thicker, spackle-like formula that fills in pores, fine lines, and rough texture to make my skin look flawless! This is an up-close and personal shot of my cheek area and you can see how much it smoothed the texture of my skin and even took down redness. It also noticeably helps my makeup to sit more evenly on my skin and last longer too.
3. Lorac California Dreaming Eyeshadow Palette ($30 at Ulta and Kohls). It's no secret that I love Lorac eyeshadows...they're just so smooth and blendable! But I was even more drawn to this palette because of the cooler, more muted color selection. I feel like I have so many warm, brown based nude palettes and this one is different. It has a very beachy, sunwashed vibe with a few of the colors swatching a bit more muted than they appear in the pan. If you're thinking of picking up an eyeshadow palette for Spring, definitely keep this one in mind!

5. Bite Beauty Agave Lip Balm ($18 at Sephora)- The Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask is my holy grail lip product, so when I saw that they came out with a balm version, I couldn't put it in my Sephora cart fast enough! Turns out, it's just what I hoped it would be...the Agave mask in a portable stick form. There are a few negative reviews I've seen that say that this is too thick and tugs at your lips when you apply and I have to admit it's true...but I don't mind at all! Thinner lip balms don't do enough for my dry lips in the winter and I really need something thick that will stay put and hold hydration in. If you end up trying this balm, make sure you don't twist it up very far...just right to the edge of the tube, because the formula does tug a little at first and you don't want it to break off. Once applied, the heat from your lips warms up the balm and it feels just like you have the original Lip Mask on. It's heavenly!

6. Jesse's Girl Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner in Black ($5.25 at Rite Aid Stores or Amazon.com)- A few months ago, I got the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in my Sephora Play subscription box and I was so impressed with how long-lasting it was (because all other liquid liners smudge on me), I planned to buy the full size when my sample ran out. Then Jesse's Girl sent me their Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner in a PR box and I thought I'd give it a try. I'm SO glad I did, because it's just as long-lasting as the Tattoo Liner...maybe even more so. It has the same brush-tip applicator, which I find so much easier to use than a felt tip and it goes on intensely with no skipping. I posted about it on Instagram last week and a lot of people said that they also loved it but that the colored versions weren't as good as the black (they were streaky & watery) so if you plan to try this I would recommend just getting the black one.

Well that's it...my Friday Faves for this week. Have you tried any of these products yet? I'd love to get your thoughts in the comments below!
Omg, that palette looks amazing! Right yesterday I bought the same blush by Wet n Wild, but in mellow wine : it's so pigmented! the Urban decay primer seems amazing...do you think is ok for dry skin?
ReplyDeleteOh I LOVE Mellow Wine too...that's probably my second favorite one. :) I have really dry skin and the Urban Decay primer is great for me, so it should definitely work for you too. I think it might be a little too heavy for oily skin types.
DeleteI have the wet n wild blush in apricot in the middle and I love the formula! I want to get the rose champagne next to try.
ReplyDeleteI think that's the only one I don't have. Every time I go to Target, it's sold out. I need to find it! :)
DeleteI'm so tempted by that Lorac palette. Sticking to my low-buy for now, but I might grab it next month as a Valentine's Day treat.
ReplyDeleteOoh that's a good idea! :)
DeleteI think I got mine at Walgreens!
ReplyDeleteOoh, I'm definitely interested in that living proof spray! I also have really fine hair, and I always blow-dry, so if I layer too many products it just weighs my hair down!
