Favorite Everyday Nude Palettes + Swatches

9
Seven years ago, Urban Decay launched the original Naked Palette and since then, the makeup world has been churning out wearable nude palettes left and right. I've never been a big fan of the way bright, bold eyeshadow looks on me, so I've picked up quite a few "naked" palettes over the years, including the original Urban Decay version. I still like it well enough, but the past year or two, there have been some new releases that ended up pushing my Naked palette to the back of the drawer.

Here's a look at the Everyday Nude palettes I've been reaching for the most!

1. Tarte Tartelette in Bloom Palette ($46 at Ulta and Sephora)- I have the original Tartelette palette, but this warmer version stole my heart away when it came out. It has amazing pigmentation and so many wearable shades to create lots of different looks.

The Balm Nude Dude Palette ($36 at Kohls)- The Balm is so underrated as a brand and I never hear people talk about their eyeshadow palettes (except for maybe Meet Matt(e) Trimony). The Nude Dude palette has a beautiful, buttery formula and easy to wear shades in both matte and shimmer finishes.

Lorac PRO Palette ($44 at Ulta and Kohls)- I have all three PRO palettes (and a Mega Pro) but the original is my favorite. The shade selection is just on-point and I've been reaching for it a lot lately. Not to mention, Lorac's silky, blendable formula is one of my absolute favorites.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Master Palette by Mario- Sadly, this palette was limited edition and is now sold out. I'm kicking myself for not buying a backup because Anastasia's formula is amazing and these shades work so well together, no matter what combination I want to make.

bh Cosmetics Shaaanxo Palette ($14.50 at Ulta.com and bhCosmetics.com)- This palette is so affordable and the pigmentation is excellent. I love the shade range...it's actually very similar to the Kylie Cosmetics Bronze Palette (but this one came out first). It also has 9 lipsticks on the other side!

Mally Beauty Muted Muse Palette ($29 at Ulta.com)- This is my first Mally palette and I'm obsessed! I use this constantly because it's such an easy palette to wear. She included a beautiful satiny highlight shade and a neutral matte bronze crease shade and put them in larger pans since those are the colors that will most likely get used up first (you can also use them on your face to highlight and contour). I just love the mix of cool and warm shades and the formula is among the best I've tried.

  2. I only wear nudes, I just turned 50 and I feel like nudes work best on me. I might do a smokey eye if I'm going out. Sometimes I add a pop of color in the summer or for a Packer game( my spouse is from WI). I've been loving the Too Faced matte neutral palette and the Nude palette from Bare Minerals I also got the wish list ready 12 shadow palette. I picked up a Nude beach palette( 8 pan) from TJ Maxx for 16.99 too. I'm really digging their shadows. So buttery and creamy. I love MAC too, I have most( not this year) of their neutral holiday palettes. Previous years were much better than this year. I have Amberx9 too. I love it.

  4. I feel like I bought the wrong The Balm Nude Dude palette. I got the 2nd one and while the shades were pigmented, I struggled to put together looks with it. I ended up decluttering it.Looking at those shades though, I'm kicking myself for not picking it up in the last Haute Look sale.

    1. There's only one Nude Dude palette - the one in the post - and it was the 2nd one after the original Nude Tude. So if you have Nude DUDE it IS the one featured!! I have Nude Tude & it's definitely good, as are the Matte Palettes & the older Balm Jovi. The good news is that if you do want to pick up more they'll be back on Hautelook again, as they are every 3-4 months almost like clockwork! They also have 50% sales on their own website at least several times a year. Hope that helps!

  5. The Tartelette in Bloom palette is one of my favorites! I didn't care for the original Tartelette but I think the pigmentation and colors are better on this one. I need to get that Mally palette next, it looks beautiful!
