Tarte Cosmetics has just released a brand new set for QVC called Good-For-You-Glamour and it's the Today's Special Value this Tuesday 9/19! The good news is, it's already available for pre-order and if you're a fan of Tarte, you don't want to miss out on this one!

The set includes $170.33 worth of products for only $59.94 and is an awesome deal, considering the new Clay Stick Foundation retails for $39 by itself. Here's what you're getting:

  • Ladies Night Palette with 6 eyeshadows, 1 blush, 1 bronzer, and 1 highlighter
  • Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara
  • Clay Foundation Stick in your choice of 6 shades
  • The Lip Sculptor Double-ended Lipstick and Gloss in the shade Sass (mauve)
  • Foundation brush
  • Eyeshadow Brush
  • Makeup Bag

QVC graciously sent me the whole set ahead of time so that I would be able to review it for you guys and post some swatches, so without further ado, let's take a closer look!
The Ladies Night Palette is the ultimate travel palette and reminds me a lot of the Showstopper and Rainforest After Dark palettes that Tarte used to have...I sadly missed out on both of those so I'm excited to have this one! The shades are beautiful and easy to wear and they included a nice range of mattes and shimmers. They gave us a matte ivory shade, a pretty pinky-nude transition and a few warm shimmery lid colors, plus a deep brown for the outer corners or along the lash line. Not only that, but you can definitely use the highlighter and bronzer (even the blush) as eyeshadow as well, expanding the possibilities for different looks.

The formula is high-quality and in-line with Tarte's other palettes. It has their signature vanilla scent and is made in the U.S.A.

Here are all the shades swatched, starting with the eyeshadows at the top and finishing with the highlighter, bronzer, and blush at the bottom.

For those of you who were thinking that this palette looks similar to the Tarte Pro To Go like I did, here are some comparison swatches. There aren't any exact dupes and the Pro To Go doesn't include an ivory highlight shade. They're close but the Ladies Night palette is a bit deeper and warmer.

The Tarte Clay Stick Foundation came out pretty recently (over the summer) and I chose the Light option which is the shade Light Beige. It's a spot-on match for my face which impressed me because I hardly ever get a shade match the first time when ordering a foundation! It also has more of a neutral-pink undertone (which is what my skin has) so it doesn't look too yellow on me (another pitfall when I'm purchasing foundations).

This is actually one of the more hydrating stick foundations I've tried and it gets along with my dry skin really well! It gives a very natural, skin-like finish and medium coverage that doubles as an under-eye concealer as well. Due to the thicker nature of a stick product, I can see this possibly clinging to a dry patch here and there, but since it's still summer I don't have any of those right now.

It claims to have a powder-to-liquid consistency with medium-to-full coverage that can either hydrate or mattify depending on your skin type...I'm not sure how that works but if the claims are true, this will work for oily skin types as well.

The Lip Sculptor is part of Tarte's Double Duty Beauty line and I was excited to see it in this kit because I already have a few of these and love the formula. The lipstick is so super creamy and hydrating...a dream for my dry lips. It feels weightless and has amazing pigmentation with a vanilla scent. It's not the longest-lasting lipstick as it does transfer and wear off throughout the day but for me, that's the trade-off for something that makes my lips look healthy and smooth vs. lined and dry. The gloss is non-sticky and gives a really pretty tint of color for those no-makeup days. I also sometimes use the gloss on top of the lipstick for a little more shine.

Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara has been a favorite of mine for the past 10 years, ever since I worked at Sephora back in 2007. I remember when it launched and we were all so excited to recommend it to clients coming into the store because it gives your lashes lots of length and volume without clumps. When I wear it, my lashes look soft and natural...like my lashes but better!
Also included in the set are a really nice foundation buffing brush that you can use with the Clay Stick to get a flawless finish and an eyeshadow blending brush.

Overall, the Tarte Good-For-You-Glamour is one of the best sets I've seen all year and I think it's a much better deal than most of the holiday sets that are out right now!

  3. Thank you for showing these swatches! I've been on the fence about ordering it because the shades of this palette did not seem true between the still shot on QVC and the video.

  4. Amazing post and SO super helpful with all the swatches and comparison because I also thought the colors looked like Pro To Go. I saw this on many different blogger's social media accounts but your review and swatches is the best and most thorough. I'm so glad I found your site!

  5. I purchased this set based on your review. I don't necessarily need the foundation stick but the palette is beautiful and I love the lip sculptor and mascara so it was a no brainer for me, even if I only use those three things.
