Revlon has just launched a new Metallic version of their Ultra HD Matte Liquid Lipsticks and I spotted them at Bed, Bath, and Beyond over the long weekend. They're $9.99 and come in 8 shades, some of which are "non-traditional" such as gray, purple, and navy blue.
I'm not a metallic lipstick fan myself as I feel like the finish accentuates dryness and lines, but if you don't have those issues, these might be a really fun lip option for summer!
If you haven't seen them yet in-store, they also just dropped at Ulta.com.
What are your thoughts? Do you like a metallic lip or will you be skipping these?
I like the color featured on Gwen in the ad, but I'm only guessing that it's HD Glam. I'm waiting for swatches and reviews on these. Like you said, metallics can bring out lines.
ReplyDeleteIn theory, I love metallic anything -- but on my lips, they do tend to look silly (though not *quite* as terrible as matte lip colors, those make my lips look the absolute worst). Also, at 45 years old and not being employed in a place where it would be okay to wear striking cosmetic products, it doesn't make sense to try them. I will be interested to know what you think if you do try them, though.
