I've seen the Full Face, One Palette challenge on YouTube and I was recently inspired to do it after watching Jamie Paige complete her entire makeup look (minus foundation, concealer and mascara) using only the Tarte Tartelette in Bloom Palette (you can check out her video here). The Tartelette in Bloom is a palette I reach for a lot but I never thought about using it all over my face!
Let's take a look and see what happened...
- Contour: I used the shade Jetsetter, which is a cool-toned brown and lightened it up with a touch of Smarty Pants to contour the hollows of my cheeks.
- Brows: I also used Jetsetter to fill in my brows using a slanted brow brush. I have naturally cool-toned light brown hair so it matched perfectly!
- Eyes: I used Smarty Pants (light brown matte) as a transition shade and took it up a little bit past my crease. Then I used Flower Child (off-white matte) to soften up that line and took it up underneath my brow bone. I then used Firecracker (shimmery warm brown) all over my lid, and added a little bit of Rebel (matte reddish brown) to the outer corner. I also used Rebel on a thin liner brush as an eyeliner (I spritzed it with a little setting spray).
- Cheeks: I used the matte pale pink shade, Sweetheart on my cheeks as a blush and it is beautiful! I actually hope that Tarte comes out with a shade of blush this color...it's the perfect nude pink.
- Highlighter: I used the shade Funny Girl to highlight the high points of my face. It's a shimmery champagne shade and it worked great as a highlighter!
- Lips: I first applied a moisturizing lip balm (Bite Beauty Agave Lip Balm) and then dabbed the Sweetheart shade on top with my finger. When mixed with the lip balm, this shade became considerably darker than it looks in the pan, which worked out great because initially I was thinking I might have to mix a few colors together so my lip color wasn't too light.
So here's the finished look! It's hard to see my eye makeup because I have extremely hooded eyes but overall I love how this turned out. It's a really pretty warm, nude color palette that I would definitely wear every day. I love the thought of being able to use one palette in a pinch if I really needed to.
Have you ever done the Full Face, One Palette makeup challenge? If you'd like to see me do this with another palette, let me know which one in the comment section below! :)
