You guys know that I'm all about a beautiful matte blush, and I recently found a great affordable option at Ulta from Makeup Revolution. The Matte Blush is $5 and comes in three shades (I wish there were more!). I picked up the shade Nude to try because it's exactly the kind of color I like to wear on a daily basis...it's a perfect peachy-pink nude.
The formula is soft and highly pigmented (you don't even have to swirl your brush in the pan, just tap it lightly). It blends beautifully on the cheeks and looks really natural. Plus, since it's matte you don't have to worry about it accentuating any texture you might have on your face, such as pores, lines, or acne scars.

While it's not an exact dupe for anything I have, it comes very close to all of these options!
Overall, if you like matte blushes, I highly recommend grabbing one of these the next time you're at Ulta (or if you're placing an order during the 21 Days of Beauty). It was an impulse buy for me but now that I know how much I love it, I will probably pick up the other two shades next time they're on BOGO.

I love this color! I had city color papaya but it broke and I never could find it again at 5 below. Glad to know this is pretty similar! I'll be picking it up. Thanks for the review :-)
ReplyDeleteYes, for some reason I haven't seen the Be Matte blushes at Five Below in a while. This one is just slightly more pink but on the cheeks blended out it looks about the same. :)
DeleteWoah I haven't heard anyone talk about these yet but this color is perfect! I just turned 40 this year and have been leaning more toward matte blushes lately as I think they look more flattering. This is a great price!
ReplyDeleteRight?? It's beautiful and the pan is pretty large so it'll last a really long time. I've also been into matte blushes lately as I find they don't highlight the texture on my skin. :)
DeleteOnly 3 colors? There used to be several more. I have a light cool/candy pink called Divine and I love it. I think these MR blushes are as good as ones from prestige brands.
ReplyDeleteYes, sadly! It looks like there are 6 shades on the TamBeauty UK website but Ulta is only carrying 3 right now. I hope they add the rest...I agree they're as good as high-end!:)
DeleteI doubt they will be coming back. Ulta WAS carrying all 6 shades, and eliminated/clearanced out the bright red and 2 cool pinks, when they did the new set a couple of months back. IF you really want the other 3 shades, I would just order them. And TAM beauty has free international shipping on orders of over $75, so you could pick out some other things to try - the sheer quantity of items to choose from is amazing!
