Last week, I posted about two new shades of the Physicians Formula Butter Blushes that were launching exclusively at Walmart and I was able to get my hands on one of them to review for you today. My local store had the Vintage Rouge shade (warm coral pink) but not the cooler-toned Rosy Pink so I'll have to keep checking back for that one.
I absolutely adore the Butter Blushes (and Bronzers) for their soft, buttery texture and beachy, tropical scent, but the previous two blush shades left something to be desired because they were just too light. Even on my fair skin, the Plum Rose shade needed to be built up a lot before it would even show up and the Natural Glow shade was more like a highlighter on me.
Thankfully, I had no trouble getting Vintage Rouge to show up on my skin...it's beautiful! It's a little more subdued than the Benefit GALifornia blush I posted about the other day, but it has that beautiful blend of pink with a little bit of coral that's so perfect for Spring and Summer.
Here it is swatched next to the original two shades and you can see how much more pigmented and rich the color is!
Overall, if you're like me and love the Butter Blush formula but were wishing for some deeper shades, definitely check out Vintage Rouge! It's available only at Walmart stores for now, but I'm guessing it'll be launching everywhere Physicians Formula is sold pretty soon.
Have you seen or tried the new Butter Blush shades yet? I'd love to hear your thoughts!
I picked up the two new shades of butter blush at Target last week. I have also seen them at Walmart. The plum rose shade did not show up on my light skin,so I gave it to my daughter. She is pretty fair and it looks beautiful on her.The vintage rouge and rosy pink shades show up much better on my skin tone.
